GOD’S EXPLAINATION OF THE HUMAN

The first thing we need to realize is this; We are Gentiles, not Jews. Then we need to ask ourselves this question; What is it that God expects out of us, and how can we be sure? I will never forget, about 35 or 40 years ago, when God allowed me to come across this wonderful few verses in the 1st chapter of Romans; 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Now the things that Paul is speaking of are this; If we would just open our eyes, we could see God in everything our eyes behold. Why, because God made them. And, He made them to speak to us of the things of Himself, and His purpose. Concentrate on verse 20.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Wow, “ The invisible things of God, are clearly seen”. Now you see where we look for the revelation of God, to us His creation. See why Jesus used so many parables about things in life, i.e. Birds, Sparrows, Lilies of the field, Sheep, Goats, Wheat, Tares, Fig tree, etc., etc. and many other things like this? He also used the examples of things created, to paint us a picture of what we are and what we should be like. He shows us the human body, and how it was created without schism, not one member against the other.
1Cor 12:12
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14
For the body is not one member, but many.
15
If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16
And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17
If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
19
And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20
But now are they many members, yet but one body.
21
And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22
Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
23
And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
24
For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked:
25
That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26
And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.

I know, that is a lot to think about, but it is really simple. God made the human body, to manifest what he wants in the spiritual body. When we read these verses above, or hear them read by a minister, we immediately think about the members of the church. Well, He is explaining what he wants the members of the church to be like, but he is explaining what the members of the human body are like, to show an example. God, tempered the human body, so that there would be no schism, (1 above the other or against the other) in any form. I am right handed, but never has my right hand, even thought of itself as more honorable than my left hand. And even though my right hand is dominant, never has my left hand had aught against my right hand, or been jealous of it in any way. If my right hand becomes injured, or handicapped, my left hand will run to its rescue immediately, and hold it and massage it or whatever it feels will help it. And then while the right hand is injured, my left hand will do all it can to do the work of my right hand, even knowing that it is not capable of doing as good of a job. Never will it say, hey man, you have been getting all the respect for the last few years, all that fancy stuff you do that I can’t, now lets just see what you can do now, haha? Never would my left hand do that, nor any other member of my body.

Now bare with me a little bit, as I am going to explain something a little plain to you. Remember, us Porter’s are sometimes pretty plain spoken. Look at verse 23. Those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, or uncomely as he says also, God has bestowed more abundant comeliness. Now remember, he is talking about the human body, how God made it, and how it explains to us how God wants the spiritual body to be in all things. Back to verse 23. What parts of the body, would seem to be much less comely than any other? Do I need to tell you? Its the waste elimination stations? ☺ And yet, God made these parts of the body to be the most desirable parts of the body for visual or physical contact, and ecstatic pleasure, because if He had not, they would be abhored. When the natural man or woman looks upon another human body, of the opposite sex, what part of the body does their eye most often focus on? And what part of the body gives the human the most pleasure of any other part of the body? Now, see how God made the human body so that it would not have schism? When you see someone that is Autistic, or Simple, or what about Ugly, or very overweight? Immediately the human focuses on the uncomely parts, while the spiritual body, if properly trained and taught, will focus on the sweetness, and wonderful person inside of this body.
Take these examples and make them the example of how we look upon one another spiritually, and how we should treat one another spiritually, and how we should think of one another spiritually, and you have the perfect blueprint of God’s plan. Then you take the lessons of Proverbs, and you will get the complete picture of God’s plan for mankind.

So, you see, it is not our direct worship of God Himself, but the Worship of God, through what we do for one another, and how we treat one another. And why would this be so? WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST, MEMBERS IN PARTICULAR.
